Levels
- Executive Overview: chapter 0, informative, a short read.
- Normative Specification: chapters 1 to 8, the reading path through the binding material.
- Informative Annexes: comparisons, FAQ and examples published by this site; not chapters of the canonical Specification.
- How to Review: reading frame, nine review questions and how to file an objection; site-published, informative.
Provenance
This reading path is compiled verbatim from docs/Specification/ in the canonical repository, with dated editorial notes marked as such. It is a compilation and editorial layer over the granular documents (Meta/, Models/, Core/, Language/), not a replacement for them: the granular documents remain the normative source of truth. Each of the thirteen Core Vocabulary terms is defined at the Meta tier and referenced everywhere else, with one exception: Relationship also has a Models-tier document, and the divergence between the two definitions was recorded as AO-002 and AO-017; AO-002 was closed on 16 September 2026 by CAND-016 (Meta/Relationship.md is the canonical definition, Models/Relationship.md its specialization for Entities), and AO-017 remains open, so it is no longer an exception to Design Principle 7. Entity, Domain, Event, State, Lifecycle and Workflow are defined at the Models tier and have no term record.
